Tour Details

Mount Kailash, is a 6,638 m high peak in the Kailash Range, which forms part of the Transhimalaya in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

Mt. Kailash Heli with Parikrama Via Lucknow or Kathmandu : Yatra starts and ends at Kathmandu or Lucknow (India). On this yatra maximum journey will be carried out by scheduled flight and special chartered Helicopter flight.

The mountain is located near Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshastal, close to the source of some of the longest Asian rivers: the Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra, and Karnali also known as Ghaghara (a tributary of the Ganges) in India. Mount Kailash is considered to be sacred in four religions: Bon, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.

  • Special welcome on arrival in Kathmandu or Lucknow,
  • One briefing session in Kathmandu or Nepalgunj,

Price Excludes
  • Nepal visa fees US$ 30 or 50 (Single Entry Visa valid for 15 or 30 days respectively payable in cash at immigration and requires a recent photograph), no visa applicable for the Indian passport holder.
  • Meals other than mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any items and services not mentioned in PRICE INCLUDE section
  • Items of personal nature such as trekking equipment, bar bills, alcoholic beverages, laundry, telephone, calls internet, SIM Card, extra mileage, personal gratuities as tips to the staffs at hotel, guide, driver, porter, Horse / Pony ride etc.
  • Extra costs that may arise due to delay to receive Tibet Travel Permit and Visa, prolonged
    delays or postponement of flight due to technical reasons.
  • Expenses incurred by re-routing, inclement weather, floods, famine, political disruptions, strikes, riots and other disturbances.
  • All the obligations and fine like death penalty USD 1,000.00 and early return expenses etc.
  • Personal insurance policy – suggested a comprehensive travel insurance covering tour and flight cancellations, loss of valuables, thefts, illness, accidents and hospitalization
  • Insurance that covers Trekking/ Travel/ Accident /Medical/Emergency evacuations, [Helicopter rescue]

Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU, -/-D

Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu (1,345m), meet & welcome by our office representative & transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2PILGRIMAGE SIGHTSEEING & FLY TO NEPALGUNJ / ARRIVE LUCKNOW & TRANSFER TO NEPALGUNJ B/L/D

Puja at Lord Pashupatinath temple and Budhanilakantha temple. After lunch transfer to domestic airport for flight to Nepalgunj (150m, 45min flight.). Arrive Nepalgunj and check into hotel. Or arrive Lucknow, India & drive to Nepalgunj. Overnight stay at Hotel Siddhartha / Sneha/ Cygnett or similar.

Day 3FLY TO SIMIKOT & HIKE TO SHIVA TEMPLE B/L/D

Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Simikot (2,910m). Walk to lodge, take a rest and walk around. After lunch proceed to hike the Shiva temple. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 4FLY TO HILSA & DRIVE TO TAKLAKOT B/L/D

Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Hilsa (3,704m, 15min flight) by Chartered Helicopter flight. Cross the bridge and complete immigration formalities and walk to Chinese side – known as Sera for the China side Immigration. After completion of China side immigration introduce with your Chinese guide & driver. Drive to Taklakot (4,025m) (Known to Chinese as Purang)-30km /1hr drive. Arrive at Taklakot, check into hotel and full day free to acclimatize & overnight stay at hotel in Taklakot.

Day 5DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR & MANSAROVAR PARIKRAMA B/L/D

Drive to Mansarovar (4,556m, 120km – 2hrs). Perform Puja, Hawan and Dev Tarpan (self) followed by Mansarovar Parikrama. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 6DRIVE TO DARCHEN B/L/D

Morning holy bath and Puja at Lake Mansarovar. Visit Chiu Gompa & drive (30km) to DARCHEN (4,675m) for about 1hr. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 7DRIVE TO YAMADWAR & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK, B/L/D

With packed lunch box, drive to Tarboch Flag Pole, the first prostration point; an auspicious gateway & the sky burial ground. Visit Yamadwar (4,675m) & further drive to Sershong (total 8km from Darchen). Meet your porters/pony caretaker etc. & trek to Dirapuk (4765m, 10km, 3 to 4hrs trek). Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 8HOLY TREK TO ZUTHULPUK, B/L/D

Continue Parikrama over Dorma La Pass (5,610m) to Zuthulpuk (4,700m, 22km, 7 to 8hrs trek). Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 9HOLY TREK TO NEAR DARCHEN & DRIVE TO TAKLAKOT B/L/D

Last and final day of Mt. Kailash Parikrama ends near Darchen (4,664m, 14km / 3 to 4hrs trek) & drive to Taklakot (150km, 2hrs). Arrive at Taklakot (3,500m) & check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10DRIVE TO HILSA, FLY TO NEPALGUNJ VIA SIMIKOT B/L/D

Drive to Hilsa & walk to Hilsa helipad to take chartered helicopter flight to Simikot. Proceed for Nepalgunj scheduled flight after documentation at Simikot. Arrive & check-in at hotel for overnight.

Day 11FINAL DEPARTURE TO LOCKNOW AIRPORT/ FLY TO KATHMANDU B/L/D

Breakfast and drive to Locknow airport for flight to onward journey OR Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 12FINAL DEPARTURE FROM KATHMANDU B/-/-

Breakfast and free time until transferred to international airport for onward flight.
